Choosing a nation is '''definitive and cannot be changed later'''. Choosing a nation will change things in how you interact with the game. Every Belle from that nation will take 10% less vestures to rescue, and you'll be added to that Nation and that Nation alliance leaderboard for the rest of the game. There are two kind of Nation in the game: the <u>major nations</u>, available to everybody, and the minor nations available only to the Kickstarter backers. The <u>minor nations</u> are linked with some major nations for some war plans rewards and the 10% vesture reduction for rescuing Belles.

This nation is linked with the United Kindom; the United Kingdom ships will cost 10% less vestures to rescue, and some war plans rewards will instead reward United Kingdom diplomacy points and the Netherlands is siding with the Allies at the start of the game.
