Crafting
(This page is in desperate help for an author who actually knows what they are talking about.)
Making a Blueprint / Research[edit | edit source]
Click on one of your R&D Boxes. 2. Select an item. It will be converted into a blueprint.
Blueprints can then be researched again and again to improve them / find traits. They max out at 100% research. (100% sounds good, so do it?)
If you change traits in production, you can lose research %. That's fine. Just R&D it again. This is called "Gremlin removal"
Production[edit | edit source]
- Click on a production thingy. There you select a blueprint you have already started research on (and are not currently researching).
- From there you can select traits. These do things and add difficulty. That means something, and they do something. They come in different types!Traits come in flavors with a specific number of slots.
| Angelic Silver Star | |
| Questionable Gold Star | |
| Spicy Red Star |
these flavors mean something.
You can only change quirks or advantages in slots you've discovered though, a stock gear you can't change until you research it some, but you can change things once you do, it will just add more quirks..
3. Click build! Stuff will happen. Difficulty does something, so red stars are bad. This can also reduce your R&D on the blueprint, so you can start over again?
Why should I research?[edit | edit source]
Because someone told me that it makes better gear. And heresy is enough for me.
What should I research? [edit | edit source]
Stuff. From the discord:
I think the best early approach is go for stock 100% on some important equipment, rangekeeper, director, torpedo, gun, a scout too if you have trouble tracking ships in the battles. Don't even bother adding things right away, just make your existing gear better.
